The large efforts exerted by workers in the drinking water and electricity establishments in al-Hasakeh governorate during the past few days resulted in the return of the water station of Alouk after a one-month suspension as a result of the aggression of the Turkish regime and its mercenaries from the terrorist organizations, where today 100 thousand cubic meters of water were pumped from them and the rationing days were reduced.
Director of Water Establishment Mahmoud Al-Okla explained in a statement to SANA correspondent that the Alouk water project is the only project that is reliable in feeding the city of Al-Hasakah and the western countryside with water due to the heavy production and quality of its water if it produces about 100 thousand cubic meters of water per day distributed to the participants according to Taqneen program However, his discharge from the service, in addition to the theft of some transformers and electrical cables, led the establishment to seek an urgent alternative to provide drinking water to the residents.
According to Al-Akleh, the alternative was through the distribution of water by tankers to the residents, in addition to pumping water to the subscribers through the East Dam and Al-Hamma station, which was not as good as the old station needed maintenance and the institution did not need during the past years due to the presence of the Alouk water station.
Engineer Al-Akleh pointed out that the establishment started today to reduce the days of water rationing to four days after it was six and pumping quantities of water approximately 100 thousand cubic meters per day for each sector ensures the arrival of sufficient quantities of water for all participants.
On the other hand, Engineer Al-Okla revealed that the establishment is currently working on securing a second exceptional alternative is the Al-Hama water station, which is fed with water from the Eastern Dam, where a number of humanitarian organizations are working to rehabilitate them completely to produce water at the required technical level and rely on it in the event of the exit of Alouk. He explained that work is underway in Al-Hama water station to replace the old filters and filters and sterilization in addition to other technical equipment.
The Director General of the Electricity Company, Eng. Anwar Al-Okla, stated that the company's workers during the most difficult times when the Turkish regime and its mercenaries attacked the area were present and were able to enter the station and conduct the necessary electrical maintenance.
