On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the glorious corrective movement, service and development projects were launched in Lattakia today, covering several sectors in the regions of Jableh, Qardaha and Lattakia at a total cost exceeding one billion pounds.

The projects included the citadel dam in Bluran, the Daflah dam in Basit, the agricultural high school in Dweir al-Khatib in Jibla, and the extension unit in Beit Aana, in addition to two basic schools in the basement and al-Fakhoura in Qirdaha countryside.

Director of Water Resources Engineer Nabil Hassan pointed out that the storage volume of the castle dam 40.6 thousand cubic meters with a side spill profusely 16 cubic meters per second and was built from the cumulative dam with a nucleus with a height of 12 meters at a total cost of 190 million pounds while the daflah dam with a storage volume of 28 thousand cubic meters With a front spill 14 meters high with a total value of 186.8 million pounds.

According to Hassan, Saddah aims to secure a source of water support to neighboring communities and to convert the area of ​​agricultural land benefiting from the dam from irrigated agriculture to irrigated, leading to increased production in addition to tourism investment for the region.

On the agricultural high school in Dweir Al-Khatib, the Director of Agriculture, Eng. Munther Khairbek pointed out that it includes 3 floors with a total area of ​​550 square meters in which there are 12 classrooms, laboratories, administrative rooms, patios and training fields for students.The total cost amounts to 260 million pounds with the establishment of an external seminar and a warehouse.

He pointed out that the extension unit will provide services to four villages with an area of ​​agricultural land about 14 thousand acres and will be working as of tomorrow, pointing to the existence of permanent cooperation with the people to develop agricultural services.

The Director of Technical Services Engineer Wael Jurdi pointed out that the martyr Yusha Ismail School in the basement of Awamiya consists of 3 floors and includes 12 classrooms, a laboratory, computer rooms, administrative rooms and public facilities area of ​​the yard 4400 square meters with the yard at a total cost of 150.1 million pounds where the province served the whole village Al Fakhoura School reached an area of ​​2600 meters at a cost of 274 million pounds and includes 12 classrooms on 3 floors, computer halls, an informant and administrative rooms.

The inauguration was attended by the Governor of Lattakia Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem, the Secretary of the branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, Dr. Mohammed Shreitah, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, a number of members of the Council, the Secretary General of the Governorate and the directors of a number of public bodies.
