Fresno-California-Sana
At least nine people were injured overnight by gunfire during a special ceremony in the city of Fresno, California.
At least nine people were injured, some of them critically, by a random shooting at the gathering at a private ceremony in a house in the city, the Associated Press quoted a police officer as saying.
"What we do know is that there was a gathering of family and friends in the backyard of a house on the southeastern side of Fresno to watch football when unidentified suspects approached the house, sneaked into the place and opened fire on the two communities," Dougli said.
Five people from the same family, including three children, were killed Saturday in a shooting incident in the southern city of San Diego.
Incidents of shootings and hate crimes have increased dramatically this year in the United States because of President Donald Trump's inflammatory racist rhetoric, which also promoted freedom to own arms and refused to legalize or restrict the order.
