The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that it is not unlikely that external forces were involved in the riots and chaos in Iranian cities.
The Director of the Asian Affairs Department in the Russian Foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov said in a statement quoted by Russia Today that the tense situation and the rise in gasoline prices in addition to the work of external forces have all led to what is witnessing in some Iranian cities.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani yesterday confirmed the involvement of groups of the so-called "People's Mujahedeen Organization" and the enemies of the revolution in the riots in some Iranian cities in recent days.
