Yemeni coastguard forces announced today that they seized three ships, one of them belonging to the Saudi regime, miles away from the Yemeni island of Aqaban.
The coastguard forces said in a statement carried by the site "march net" that the crew of the seized ships did not respond to the coastguard patrol after calling on the international channel, noting that the lack of response is a clear challenge to all international maritime laws and a violation of Yemeni sovereignty.
The statement pointed out that the seized ships have been introduced to the jetty and take legal steps.
The Coast Guard forces affirmed their keenness on the safety of the territorial waters and the need to abide by the established procedures and respect the sovereignty of Yemen and its territorial waters.
