The Transport Department will be able to arrange for a special free ferry service from the Hung Hom (South) ferry pier or the public pier at Ma Tau Kok Estate in Kowloon City to Wan Chai Public Pier (near the Golden Bauhinia Square).

In the past, the Star Ferry also set up a route from Hung Hom to Wan Chai. However, due to the lack of passenger volume, it was no longer incurred. After the expiration of the operating licence on March 31, 2011, it will no longer operate. In 1956, the Yau Ma Tei Ferry also provided ferries to and from Kowloon City to Wan Chai. It has now been cancelled.

Increase special frequency to increase the frequency of the Eastern Harbour Crossing and Western Harbour Crossing bus routes

The department also said that in order to meet the demand and provide an alternative to passengers, the franchised bus company will open a special frequency (route 115) at the Kowloon City Ferry Pier Terminus via the Eastern Harbour Crossing to Central.

At the same time, the bus routes operated by the Eastern Harbour Crossing and the Western Harbour Crossing will increase the frequency of the franchised bus companies. The following eight routes to the CHT will be diverted to the Eastern Harbour Crossing or the Western Harbour Crossing:

East Tunnel

(a) Route 101X: Kwun Tong Yue Man Square (Kwun Tong District) to Kennedy Town (Central and Western District)

(2) Route 108: Kai Yip (Kowloon City District) to BMW Hill (East District)

(3) Route 111: Ping Shek (Kwun Tong District) to Central

(d) Route 115: Kowloon City Ferry Pier (Kowloon City District) to Central

(v) Route 116: Tsz Wan Shan (Wong Tai Sin District) to Quarry Bay (East District)

(vi) Route 118: Cheung Sha Wan (Sham Shui Po District) to Siu Sai Wan ( Eastern District)

(vii) Route 182: Yu Chui Court (Sha Tin District) to Central

Western Harbour Crossing

(8) Route 118P: Cheung Sha Wan (Sham Shui Po District) to Siu Sai Wan ( Eastern District) (only during peak hours)

The anti-revision storm lasted for five months. Netizens launched the "three strikes" operation last week and blocked the main roads in many districts. The tunnel has been closed since the 13th. Many toll booths in the CHT have been set on fire in the past and the road under the bridge has been thrown away.
