A delegation of Iranian companies in the provinces of Tabriz and East Azerbaijan discussed with the board of directors of Damascus Chamber of Commerce and Syrian businessmen ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of construction, construction, informatics and food industries.

President of Damascus Chamber of Commerce Ghassan Al-Qalaa stressed during the meeting with the Iranian delegation at the Chamber of Commerce the need to exert efforts to upgrade economic cooperation relations between the two countries through the establishment of a joint Syrian-Iranian bank to facilitate the payment of mutual goods in the national currency of the two countries and the establishment of a shipping line to transport goods through the ports of the two countries.

He pointed to the need to establish mutual exhibitions and activate agreements and efforts by the businessmen of the two countries to develop this cooperation through partnerships and joint companies that benefit the economies of the two countries.

For his part, head of the Iranian delegation, Radwan Kanaan, pointed out that Iranian companies are keen to contribute to reconstruction and reconstruction projects in Syria, noting that the coming Syrian-Iranian joint bank will be launched in the coming months to enable businessmen in both countries to increase the volume of cooperation and increase the value of trade exchange.

Following the meeting, bilateral meetings were held between Syrian businessmen and members of the delegation of representatives of Iranian companies to discuss the establishment of partnerships between the two sides.

The 10 Iranian companies specialize in the production of minerals, oil, power lines, plastics, foodstuffs, hotel supplies, lounges, informatics, building materials, timber, machinery, equipment and sanitation.
