The actress was not the most prominent dreams of the young Alaa Al-Wa'er when she sought to enter the world of theater, but she was attracted to him by the motivation of study and research after she read extensively about his profound influence in society and his role in the psychotherapy of individuals in general to decide to navigate in this area and investigate ways to benefit from the positive impact of this art as part of Studying at the Faculty of Education, Department of "psychological counseling" in addition to highlighting her talents in acting and playwriting.
Alaa's first step in this field was through the progress to the course "Preparation of a representative" three years ago, where she explained in her interview with the youth newsletter SANA that its main objective at the time was purely scientific purpose of research in psychodrama or what is known as psycho-theater therapy, stressing that the course, which lasted eight months She was able to get acquainted with the world of theater, which made her offer several scientific research in her college about psychodrama.
She pointed out that she analyzed many international theatrical works, including “Oedipus as King, Cherry Orchard, and the Travel of Berlak and Satan in Beit and Hamlet.” At a later stage, she launched a new idea based on explaining psychological theories through theatrical works in order to overcome the difficulty of understanding these theories by the general public.
This qualitative idea was on its way to actual implementation when Alaa started work on writing the play `` After the Spring '' in the beginning of 2018 in cooperation with Khaled Radwan, indicating that rehearsals have been started where the play is expected to be shown soon.
Because theater from the point of view of Alaa is an artistic and therapeutic tool expressed at the end of her speech aspired to establish a theater psychotherapy center where the development of traditional treatment methods and the use of new and innovative techniques at the same time, pointing to the importance of turning the theater into an effective educational tool in various schools.
