Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said US officials' allegations of support for the Iranian people while imposing an unjust siege on him are a lie.
Commenting on US officials' remarks about the riots in some Iranian cities, Zarif said: "The American regime that practices economic terrorism against the Iranian people by preventing the export of food and medicine to ordinary people, especially the elderly and the sick, cannot falsely and rudely claim to stand by the Iranian people." .
Zarif called on his US counterpart Mike Pompeo to take responsibility first for the terrorist acts and crimes against humanity committed by Washington against the Iranian people.
