The Iranian people in different provinces of the country today went out in mass rallies to condemn the riots and sabotage that took place in recent days against the background of the high price of gasoline.
Tasnim news agency reported that crowds in the provinces of Ahvaz, Isfahan, Ardabil, Kilan, Golestan, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari marched in support of the country's security and condemned the riots and the destruction of public property.
Participants in these rallies affirmed their support for the Iranian government, stressing that the Iranian people will not allow the enemies and bad conscience to undermine the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier in the day that the Iranian people did not allow the enemies to pass their plot and defeated their plans to strike their security and stability, noting that the Iranians had emerged from another historical test and showed that they never allow the enemy to carry out his abominable plans even though they may face economic problems.
