Donald Trump has again attacked the Democratic Head of the Intelligence Committee at House Adam Schiff. Schiff, 59, is conducting the preliminary investigations into possible impeachment for abuse of power against the US president in the Ukraine. Trump called him "corrupt" and "the most dishonest man in politics" in two consecutive tweets.
"The lies of the corrupt politician Adam Schiff are growing day by day," Trump tweeted shortly before the hearings continued, including the testimony of former White House expert Fiona Hill.
The following sentence, in which the President does not directly attack Schiff, but which is nevertheless directly related to the Democrat, seems particularly disgusting. "Republicans, you are dealing with human scum," Trump wrote.

Recent statements have been made in the midst of impeachment hearings to determine if Trump has withheld a planned military aid to Ukraine as a lever to discredit his political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
