The anti-reforms continued to be tense, and many universities have successively become "battlefields". Among them, Kowloon Tong City University was also baptized and destroyed by tears last week. After that, the school closed the school, the student dormitory stopped water, blackouts, and stopped WIFI, and ordered to block the dormitory before 12 o'clock this afternoon (22nd). Some of the students were dissatisfied with the arrangement of the school. The picture was unsuccessful in the meeting yesterday. There were a small number of left-behind students who planned to sit down and protest this morning. The City University Students questioned the principal of Guo Du, who only took care of the public relations image in the past few days, did not care about the students, and urged the school to explain the incident.

● The school provides 1,000 yuan per person

Since last Tuesday (12th), CityU suffered a "war" baptism and a series of destruction, the school was devastated. Two days later, the school announced that the school was closed, the main entrance and three academic buildings were sealed by tape. Students and faculty members must show proof of identity, accompanied by security guards. On Sunday (17th), the school said that it was suspected that the water in the dormitory was contaminated and the water supply was stopped. In the past two days, power supply and WIFI were suspended. It is reported that the school said earlier that the students can apply for the emergency allocation of CityU, from 100 yuan per night to a total of 1,000 yuan to help the students to live in a new home.

● Staff of the Facilities Management Office: I am answering you.

According to the editorial board of the City University Student Union, on the evening of the 20th (the evening), a male staff member of the CityU Facilities Management Office (FMO) had come forward to explain the paintings, but he said that "(dormitories) stopped a few resistances" and the water supply was repaired. The department is responsible for; it is also referred to as the student dormitory. In fact, it is the responsibility of the SRO. Regarding the accommodation arrangement, he has to receive instructions from the SRO.

The staff member continued that the high-ranking colleagues had "goed to the sun" and only communicated by telephone. Later, they contacted the relevant parties on the spot to find out whether there were any new instructions. However, after he talked, only the students sent representatives to keep the information and see if there were any high-level contacts. Later, he returned to the gate and refused to talk again. The students questioned that the information had been published by the FMO and so on. They could not answer. They only said, "I have answered you questions."

● At 12 o'clock this afternoon, the dormitory dormitory plan to sit still

According to the news, the school ordered the dormitory to be closed at 12 noon today. The residents were dissatisfied and attempted to launch a rally yesterday. However, due to the closure of the dormitory gate, the rally was not held as usual. There were no choices for the boarders, so they had to be accompanied by security guards to pack their personal belongings. As of last night, it is reported that there are still about 6 people staying overnight. One of the boys said that only a small amount of water was supplied to some floors. In the case of a black light and a black and white fire, many of the boarders had already moved out. He pointed out that at this stage, it is planned to convene more people. At 10 o'clock this morning, he sat quietly in the open space of the dormitory.

● Student Union: Principal Guo Wei only looks at the public relations image

The City College Student Association issued a statement on Facebook yesterday, questioning the principal of Guo Duan, who seems to only care about the public relations image, but did not care about the students. He turned a deaf ear to the fact that the city hall dormitory was attacked by tear gas and rubber bullets, and asked the school to explain that the paid boarders were leaving. Whether there is legal basis or arrangements for temporary accommodation, and I hope that the principal will account for the whereabouts of the past few days, otherwise it will not rule out further action. The relevant statement is as follows:

[Formally requesting the university to explain the closing of the dormitory and the public relations arrangements]

City college dormitory has been cut off from power sources and WiFi for no reason. The university also asked the boarders to leave after three times without clear reasons. What is more regrettable is that the principal Guo Guo seems to only care about the public relations image, but he is deaf to the fact that the city hall dormitory was attacked by tear gas and rubber bullets. With regard to the above points, this Council has officially written to the University today to make the following questions.

First, the dormitory is closed

After learning that the department responsible for the university failed to clarify the worries of the representatives of the board of students, the following follow-up:

1. Does the university side (i) force and (ii) legally have the power to force the students who have paid for the accommodation to leave? If so, what is the legal basis? And what means are you going to force the students to leave?

2. Will the university provide compensation for students who leave the dormitory in response to a strong appeal from the university? If so, of the details and how are the relevant compensation criteria determined? If not, what are the reasons?

3. Some students reported that they could not return home due to family reasons, and the one thousand yuan proposed by the university was not enough to pay rent. They are homeless at any time because of the "emergency evacuation" of the university. Can the university arrange temporary accommodation for them? If so, what is the arrangement? If no, what are the reasons?

4. According to the university's inspections in the past few days, how long does it take for the dormitory to be repaired? If not, why and when can the exact time be provided?

Second, the principal's whereabouts

In addition to the above concerns about student residences, students are also very concerned about the principal's whereabouts. When many students questioned the headmaster’s disappearance and did not care about the students, they were pleased to learn that the University’s Emergency Response Team Notice (50) stated:

"Professor Professor Guo Wei and the university management have visited and observed the situation of each unit on campus and in the dormitory for five consecutive days since last Saturday (November 16) and talked with many colleagues and classmates."

In order to answer the questions of your classmates, I will have the following questions:

1. The principal, Professor Guo Wei, together with the university management, did not talk to the students and care about the students before and after the riot police fired multiple tear gas and rubber bullets at the dormitory on November 12 and when they entered the dormitory?

2. Why did the principal, Professor Guo Wei, together with the university management, did not respond at all on the day when the riot police fired tear gas and rubber bullets and several days afterwards?

3. After the university announced that the class was closed, the faculty who provided the school and the non-emergency service did not have to go to work, how did the principal, Professor Guo Wei, together with the university management, find many colleagues and classmates to talk to them?

Finally, this Council has learned from the news that the principal went to the PolyU dining hall at 3 pm today to "look for two city students" but was unsuccessful. He only left for 20 minutes and left. He was accused of failing public relations. Sao."

I would like to ask the Principal and the Communications and Public Relations Office to communicate with the left-behind students in advance. How can I delve into the City University students in the large PolyU campus?

In the face of the above-mentioned questionable arrangements, this Council urges the university to take the initiative to explain and to help. Otherwise, this Council does not rule out further action.
