The prosecution divided 4 cases to control 45 people

In the first case, only a 24-year-old male student was accused of possessing a telescopic baton, and he was charged with a crime of possession of offensive weapons.

The second case involved two women and one male accused, including the youngest and youngest female defendant, who was only 16 years old. They were accused of participating in the riots on the west side of Des Voeux Road West on the 28th of this month.

In the third case, the maximum number of defendants involved was 24. They were alleged to have participated in the riots in Queen Street. Among them, the defendant was alleged to have attacked the Chief Inspector, Deng Zhizhao, outside the Central and Sheung Wan Hotel in Hong Kong.

The fourth piece, involving 17 accused, one of them reported to be a pilot, referring to their involvement in the riots at the junction of Connaught Road West and Wenhuali.

A defendant did not appear in court to issue a arrest warrant

The 45 defendants were all released on bail yesterday. They were on court today. However, one of the defendants, Kai Ying (22), who was reported to have a clerk, was arrested in court because she did not appear in court. The court has issued a warrant for her arrest. . Middle school student Cui Yaoming (22 years old) was unable to attend the court due to admission to the court this morning, but he was able to leave the hospital and appear in court later. He was also allowed to bail on the same terms.

The pilot was allowed to leave Hong Kong during the bail period

The magistrate Liao Yixian (30 years old) who did not approve the pilot at the beginning left Hong Kong during the bail, but the prosecution said that he accepted his departure for the purpose of the work. Two of the cases involved only four defendants.

The defendant, Chen Zimou, aged 24, reported that he was accused of a crime of possessing offensive weapons in a public place. The charge stated that on July 28, 2019, the defendant had no legal authority or reasonable excuse in the public place on the ground floor of Shun Tak Centre, 200 Connaught Road Central, Central District, Hong Kong, and possessed an offensive weapon, namely a telescopic baton.

The first accused Tang Weixiong (38 years old), Du Yilan (41 years old) and the 16-year-old female surnamed Li were accused, and the three were charged with riots. The charges alleged that on July 28, 2019, the three men participated in the riots along with others in the west side of Des Voeux Road West near Hong Kong.

The magistrate handled the two cases this morning. All four were not required to reply. They were all released on bail at $1,000. However, they were not allowed to leave Hong Kong, obey the curfew, live in the reported address, and report to the police station once a week.

It is understood that in response to the riots of Tang Weixiong, Du Yilan and Li, the police were clearing the scene, Li fell in the chaos, and Tang and Du Fuqi were arrested.

24 defendants involved in riots in Queen Street

Another riot case involving 24 people, defendants Zhang Zhilin, Chen Yukang, Zhong Yiyang, Xu Qingyi, Chen Xizhen, Cui Yaoming, Lin Shaofeng, Cai Zexin, Yang Zhisheng, Lin Shengru, Huang Yien, Huang Jinshan, Li Shaokang, Zhou Jintao, Mo Zhuohui, Huang Feihong, Jian Jianhuang, Tan Shimiao Luo Wanyong, Cai Baoru, Tan Yiting, Lu Yinghui and Huang Baixian. Twenty-four accused were charged with a rioting offence, alleging that they were involved in riots along with others in Des Voeux Road West near Queen Street on July 28, 2019.

Mo Zhuohui was also charged with a crime of assaulting a police officer. He was accused of attacking the police officer outside the Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel at 28 Des Voeux Road West, Hong Kong on the same day. The Chief Inspector, Mr Tang Chi-tung, is known to be Deng. The police officer "One Brother" is the son of Deng Jingcheng.

All defendants were allowed to be released on bail under the same conditions. Except for a 22-year-old defendant, Luo Wanyong, who was a welfare worker at the Po Leung Kuk Children's Home, he could be exempted from the curfew on working days.

17 defendants, 1 defendant did not appear in court

In another case, 17 defendants were charged with riots. The defendants included: Chen Weilin, Yan Kaiying, Chen Zefeng, Bu Ziqing, He Baiyao, Liang Zhipeng, Yang Weixing, Peng Yuxi, Liu Yaoqi, Liao Yuxian, Chen Yongqi, Liao Tianjun, Lin Yizheng, Liao Ziting, Li Shuhua, Hu Jiajun and Zhang Wenyu. The charges alleged that 17 defendants were involved in riots on July 28, 2019 near the junction of Connaught Road Central and Man Wah Lane in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

Among them, Qi Kaiying did not appear in court on time. The court has issued a warrant for arrest. The defendant, Liao Yuxian, served as a pilot. Due to his working relationship, the magistrate allowed him to leave the country during the bail period. Other defendants were released on bail under the same conditions. Outside the pilot, all are not allowed to leave Hong Kong.

In response to the typhoon situation, the magistrate allowed two of the defendants who would increase their bail up to $1,000 to pay bail on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
