(CNN) - Gerber's original baby with bright eyes and a cherub face has grown and now has a head full of white hair and the same contagious smile.
And that iconic baby, Ann Turner Cook, just turned 93 on Wednesday.
"Happy birthday to baby OG - Original Gerber -, Ann Turner Cook!", Put the company in a picture of her next to a jar with the classic logo.
The charcoal drawing of Cook's angelic face when he was four months old has adorned baby food jars for decades. In 1928, Gerber carried out an advertising campaign in search of the new face of the company. Cook's neighbor presented a drawing of her face for the contest and three years later, it became the official Gerber brand.

The company had invited artists to present different versions of Gerber babies as part of the campaign.
The neighbor, Dorothy Hope Smith, offered to add more details to the sketch if she was accepted. But when Gerber executives saw him, they wanted him as he was.
Gerber has expanded its business beyond food to include skin care, clothing and other products for children, but Gerber's original baby's face is still on most items.

Before the name behind the angelic face was revealed in 1978, popular assumptions about the baby's identity included Humphrey Bogart, Elizabeth Taylor, Senator Bob Dole and Jane Seymour.
Cook taught English in Florida and wrote mystery novels after his retirement.
