Assistant Secretary-General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Eng. Hilal Al-Hilal met with Vice-President of the People's Republic of China Wang Qishan and discussed with him the friendly relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Wang conveyed the greetings of Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Bashar al-Assad, pointing out China's stance in support of Syria in its war against global terrorism and the imperialist forces that tried to overthrow and break up Syria and impose control over the region, stressing that Syria's victory after these nine years of war shows its strength. And greatness where the history attests to it.
For his part, Al-Hilal conveyed the greetings of President al-Assad to the Chinese president, pointing out that the imperialist countries represented by the United States and its allies wanted to overthrow Syria and work to target countries that seek to serve their people in order to achieve their own interests and agendas at the expense of the interests of the peoples.
The meeting was attended by members of the party's central leadership, Yasser al-Shufi, Ammar al-Sibai, the Syrian ambassador in Beijing, members of the delegation, Chinese Foreign Minister Song Tao, and a number of party and state officials.
