An Iranian maneuver simulating the defense of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz was launched in Tehran today with the participation of the air defense forces and the air force of the Iranian army along with the forces of the country's air defense headquarters.
The maneuvers are taking place over an area of 416,000 square kilometers in the general area of Semnan province in northeastern Iran and include detecting and identifying the targets of the supposed enemy.
Brigadier-General Sabahi Fard pointed out that one of the Iranian objectives of these exercises is to test the air defense capabilities of the combat in order not to penetrate the Iranian airspace, which is within the red lines.
The Iranian maneuvers are supposed to use Iranian-made weapons and systems, which are among the finest air defense technologies in the world.
