The Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar Jaafari, said that Syria stresses the importance of adhering to the rules of procedures related to the work of the constitution discussion committee, especially the respect of its sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity, pointing out that Syria's constitution and charting its future belongs to its people. Some try to interfere in their work and block their efforts.
Al-Jaafari stressed during the session of the Security Council that the Turkish regime occupied Syrian territory and killed many Syrians and displaced tens of thousands in order to assemble pro-Erdogan terrorists on Syrian territory and that Washington is occupying Syrian oil wells and stealing resources belonging to the Syrian people under the silence of the Security Council.
Al-Jaafari added that the Israeli occupation entity launches attacks on Syria and works to consecrate its occupation of the Syrian Golan in violation of international resolutions.He pointed out that international terrorism targeted Syria with the aim of changing the geopolitical map in the region.The war on Syria ends when the foreign-backed terrorism ends.
