The Ministry of Interior Trade and Consumer Protection today asked its directorates in the governorates to tighten control over the wholesale and retail markets, materials and goods therein and to control violations related to price increases or non-circulation of invoices and lack of possession or related to the specifications, powers and regularity of the article.
In a circular to its directorates, SANA called for a copy of the consumer protection patrols to immediately close the violating commercial activities and inform the ministry of the procedures.
Markets in the provinces have been witnessing for several days intensive campaigns of patrols of internal trade and consumer protection to control prices and prevent manipulation of the livelihood of citizens.
