Today (23rd), the police surrounded the University of Science and Technology on the sixth day. The health environment in the school deteriorated. Some of the demonstrators who stayed behind the scenes were getting worse and worse. In the morning, the church initiated a prayer meeting at Hung Hom Station to send blessings to people on campus. During the prayer meeting, riot police officers armed with long guns were on the alert; some participants were emotionally crying because of their self-blame, and they were to be left by others.

Chen Kaixing, a preacher who initiated the prayer meeting, said that he had contacted some of the demonstrators who stayed behind. Some people were unwilling to talk and thought they lost trust in people; some of them relied on eating dry food.

Demonstrators still on campus do not believe in others

The Good Neighbourhood North District Church began with anti-reform demonstrations and organized young demonstrators who guarded the children's actions to accompany the streets. Chen Kaixing, the preacher who initiated the action, said that more than 30 members of the guardian children who had been out of PolyU had been safe, emphasizing that they had not been missing, but some of them had been charged.

At 11 o'clock this morning, the church initiated a prayer meeting at Hung Hom Station, with about 40 participants. Some people who participated in the prayer meeting thought that it is necessary to be brave when they want to go out and speak out, because many pastors and other people have been arrested.

Many participants in the rally were very saddened by the people in the school. Chen Kaixing had contacted some of the left-behind people. Some people relied on dry food and some people were unwilling to talk. They thought they had gone to distrust others. "There is a part of the mentality. Fighting for a fight."

"Harmony" does not accept extreme violence and is still present to pray

Ms. Yang, who is 60 years old, said that she felt a lot about the PolyU incident. As a "righteous" woman, she could not accept extreme violence, but thought that there must be a price for the struggle for democracy. "Their violence is not for everyone, for the government. It’s just a specific thing. We are just a little inconvenient in life."

The people who participated in the prayer meeting then went to the Anyun Road and sang "Sing Hallelujah to The Lord" to the PolyU Chen Liling Building, and hoped that the song could be passed on to the people in the school. Many people sing and shed tears and are excited. Someone took the initiative to lead prayers, hoping that demonstrators still on campus should not hurt themselves.

The elderly are sobbing

Prayer believes that God will not give up his children. "Don't leave this righteous person. Our different people pray together." An unnamed uncle said that as long as he thinks about the situation in PolyU, his mood will fluctuate greatly. I feel that I am old and unable to provide support for young people who fight for justice. I feel very self-blaming. "It is really difficult to tell the feelings, we can't do anything." He choked with excitement and wanted People help to leave.

The prayer meeting officially ended at 12:30 pm, and many participants took part in peace.
