(CNN) - A church in Zacatecas, Mexico, commissioned what he calls the largest statue of the baby Jesus in the world. But the Internet is obsessed with its disturbing resemblance to a certain leader of an 80's band.
No, this imposing almost 7-meter statue of the Son of God that presides over the Parish of the Epiphany of the Lord was not inspired by Phil Collins. Using the word game Genesis / Book of Genesis is valid.
Reverend Humberto Rodríguez told CNN that he did not set out to create the greatest sculpture of the Son of God.
"It's an unprecedented job," he said.
He probably also did not plan for the statue to look so much like the composer of the Oscar-winning soundtrack "Tarzan" when he still had his hair.
The statue took a full year to create and traveled from the State of Mexico to its current home in the church, causing commotion among motorists.

The piercing blue irises of the statue also remind Nicolas Cage if his face was a little more round (it's that long, narrow nose, right?).
According to the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, not in London, as in the case of Collins several centuries later. And unlike the Son of God, Collins has never turned water into wine, let alone led a religion.
