DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad on Monday received Nepal's Ambassador to Egypt Japendra Prasad Ariel and the Non-Resident Ambassador of Nepal to the Syrian Arab Republic.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all fields.
Dr. Miqdad gave an explanation on the latest political and field developments in Syria, stressing its determination to liberate all its territories from the abomination of terrorism and to focus on the process of rebuilding what was destroyed by the terrorist war.
Dr. Miqdad underlined Syria's desire to develop relations with friendly countries in Asia within the framework of orientation policy, stressing in this regard the desire to strengthen relations with the friendly Republic of Nepal and the importance of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries.
For his part, Ariel stressed his country's desire to strengthen its relations with the Syrian Arab Republic in all fields, including trade and culture.
The meeting was attended by Ayman Raad, Director of Asia Department and Xena Ali from the Deputy Minister's Office, and Nepalese side Mohammed Majid Al Zayed, Honorary Consul of Nepal in Syria and his accompanying delegation.
