In the past, all the district boards have obtained more than half of them. From time to time, they have expressed their views on political issues in the name of the district boards through the advantage of the "majority to suppress minority", including the support of the "Fugitive Offenders Ordinance".

However, the situation was greatly reversed in this year's District Council. The establishment system was defeated and the Democrats won more than 300 seats, which was more than the 122 seats that were obtained in the past.

In addition to the Kowloon City District Council and the Islands District Council, the Democrats have now obtained more than half of the remaining 16 District Councils, reversing the situation of the former District Party holding the 18 District Councils. In the last district council, the Sham Shui Po and Sha Tin District Councils, which are the closest to the founding faction, have successfully achieved more than half of the democratic parties. Among the 41 directly elected seats in Sha Tin, 40 are obtained by the democrats. The remaining seats are only due to the Democratic Party. Sha Tin District Government's "collision zone" in Di Yi led to the benefit of the DAB's fishermen in the DAB. The Democrats also obtained a total of 25 seats in the Wong Tai Sin District Council.

In Tai Po District, in addition to two ex officio seats, 19 direct elections were all obtained by the democrats, including four constituencies in the rural areas. Among them, Chen Zhenzhe, who is known as the "Uncle of the Airport", won in the Lincun Valley Constituency.

In the Southern District, 15 of the 17 seats were obtained by the democrats, and the formed faction only obtained 2 seats. Among them, the Liberal Party Liang Jin defeated the democratic opponent Ding Weiliang in the Gulf Constituency, and the Democratic Party Chen Baoming lost the incumbent in the Ap Lei Chau Village. District Council member Lin Yuzhen.

Some of the Kwun Tong District and the Eastern District, which were regarded as "red districts" in the past, have also succeeded in becoming the majority.
