Conference on Integrity and Quality Management Systems of the Judiciary, Law and Arbitration

With the participation of consultants, judges and legal experts, the activities of the Integrity and Quality Management Systems of Judiciary, Law and Arbitration Conference started today in accordance with the international standard organized by the Smart Business Academy in Sweden in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus.

The five scientific days of the conference include a number of topics related to the standards of integrity and the prevention of bribery and the strengthening of confidence in the Syrian arbitration centers and the good government as a mechanism to prevent corruption and achieve development and judicial control over the work of arbitrators and the impact of arbitration in the BOT contracts and the methodology of the transition to the quality of judicial performance and tools of investigation The experience and good practice of the evaluators and reviewers, the impartiality and independence of the arbitrator in the arbitral proceedings and the protection of the integrity of the construction contracts in accordance with the international standard.

In a speech, Justice Minister Hisham al-Shaar pointed out that the conference contributes to the development of new ideas consistent with reality and ambition and to benefit from every successful experience to stimulate and develop thought and legal institutions and improve its work.

Minister Al-Shaar pointed out that the targeted participants in the conference should interact because they are highly effective in the society, including diplomats, legal, businessmen, workers in the field of arbitration management, business and politics, conflict management, international law and arbitration, and university students, each of them should be strengthened by the systems of institutional integrity management according to ISO 37001 international standard.

For his part, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Smart Business Academy in Sweden, Hassan Al-Hamwi pointed out that the conference is the first of its kind in the Arab region in the field of quality management of judiciary and arbitration and offers through its scientific days a set of ideas, experiences, conclusions, methods and work methods to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate awareness to combat impartiality and subject Participants at the end of the Integrity Management System Fellowship Exam at the Smart Business Academy, Sweden, will be awarded an IRP Certified Arbitrator Certificate in accordance with ISO 37001.
