Proposed conference moves to investigate police
Guo Yongjian said that the 70% turnout rate in the district elections reflects the silence. Most also expressed public opinion with votes, questioning why Lin Zheng still refused to respond to the remaining four major appeals.
Several elected Labour District MPs have stated that police violence will be pursued in District Council meetings. District Envoy Choi En-lai, who is a candidate for the Alley Constituency, said that he plans to move to support the five major appeals and investigate police violently during the first meeting of the Tsuen Wan District Council. District Council Member Ho Wai-lun of Xia Yaodong also pointed out that he would follow up on the issue of violent police in the parliament and move to clean the place affected by tear gas.
The successful re-election of the member of the West Bay River District Council, Mai Dezheng, said that the place where some young people were shot by the traffic police belongs to his constituency. He said that this led to the subsequent escalation of the struggle. The responsibility lies with the government's release of police abuse, and The community is restless. He also criticized the police for "retaliating the use of tear gas", which affected nearby restaurants and homes for the elderly and caused sensitive symptoms to children. He said he would follow up and investigate police enforcement actions in the community in the next parliament, believing that the election results reflected residents' dissatisfaction with the police.
