The Faculty of Information at the University of Damascus today celebrated the graduation of 86 students and honored the outstanding students on the runway of the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Omar, Dean of the College, said in a speech on the occasion of the Faculty of Media commitment to qualify generations of journalists and media professionals on the principles of the profession and the values of independence and integrity and fair competition and the graduation of specialized cadres capable of contributing to the development of media institutions.
In a speech by the National Union of Syrian Students, Mahmoud Omran, head of the administrative body at the college, pointed out that the battle of construction and reconstruction is no less important than the battle to liberate the entire country, calling on the graduates to work hard and build themselves scientifically and cognitively.
The first graduate from the electronic media department, Amna Deeb, said in the graduates' speech that honoring is an incentive for the students to persevere and start in working life and received part of what the country has given them.
A number of graduates in meetings with SANA expressed their appreciation for the efforts of their professors and everyone who contributed in providing the appropriate environment for the completion of their academic journey, stressing that they will work to convey the voice of Syria to the world through their pens and words.
Hiba Shubash noted the role of the national media in the face of the terrorist war in Syria and the reality of what is going on before the public, while Fadel Issa Rmeileh and Ammar Zeno pointed out that the media should represent people's concerns, aspirations and aspirations and reflect their real reality.
The graduation ceremony included a film prepared by the college students about their academic career, in addition to the distribution of shields and certificates of appreciation to the first graduates.
