Geneva-Sana
For the second day in a row, the mini-committee to discuss the constitution did not hold its sessions due to the intransigence of the Turkish regime delegation and its insistence on imposing ready templates and passing certain agendas and rejection of the agenda, according to members of the national delegation who considered it a clear violation of the agreed code of conduct.
Member of the national delegation Dr. Mohammad Khair Akkam said in a statement to Sana's delegate to Geneva that “the absence of a session does not mean that we are not working. The work we put forward. ”
He added: We hope to reach a common denominator tomorrow because we came to work seriously with great responsibility and we want the success of the tours to express the interests of the Syrian people.
Akkam stressed that the national delegation has great flexibility and that the existence of positive indicators depends on the other party and its propositions and whether they reflect their national affiliations or other affiliations pointing to the contradiction between what he says in the media and what he practices within the corridors of discussions, and said if this party agrees with the national constants Let him translate this on the ground by rejecting all that touches on Syria's sovereignty, such as the Turkish and American occupation, and emphasizing the fight against terrorism as a priority.
In turn, a member of the national delegation, Dr. Ashwaq Abbas, described what happened during the day and yesterday's deliberate and apparent disruption of the committee's work. She said the other party is trying to impose dictates of completed projects and use the time to pass suspicious ideas aimed at the sovereignty and steadfastness of the Syrian people.
Abbas expressed surprise at the refusal of this party national constants .. and compliance with external parties known hostility to the Syrian people, considering that the only explanation that it works to serve the interests of its operators.
Regarding the presence of a member of the Turkish regime group at a meeting of the Security Council and the presentation of an intervention in which Abbas saw that he blew up the basis of the work of the Commission and the Code of Conduct and an attempt to divert its course from national proposals and said: "We reserve and reject this behavior categorically."
For his part, member of the national delegation, Dr. Abdullah al-Sayyed, said that the disruption began when the other party presented foreign agendas in ready-made templates and put them as an agenda in an attempt to win what he was unable on the ground, stressing that the national delegation will continue to work out of what the Syrian people want and important issues He considered that those who reject the national constants are out of the Syrian conscience.
The national delegation presented yesterday a proposal for an agenda that includes talk about national principles according to sources close to the meetings, but the Turkish regime delegation refused to do so, as well as refused to attend today to the United Nations headquarters to discuss the agenda, which caused the disruption of the start of the meetings of the mini-committee, which was scheduled to start yesterday and for Five days to complete the first round held between November 4 and 8.
