(CNN Spanish) - The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reacted on Wednesday to the comment made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, about his intention to include the Mexican drug cartels in the list of terrorist organizations .
López Obrador said that the Foreign Secretary, Marcelo Ebrard, is the one who has instructions to deal with the matter and added that he was not going to argue on this issue.
"Cooperation yes, interventionism no," stressed the president of Mexico.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ebrard is expected to offer more details on this issue, however, he said via Twitter that they are already in communication with the US government.

Donald Trump made the statements in an interview with Bill O'Reilly, in which he also claimed to have offered the Mexican government that the United States. will come in to help fight crime.
That offer would have been rejected by the Mexican government according to Trump.
