Argentine Congress registers little activity in 2019

The deputies of the Congress of Argentina shine by their absence this year. An intense political level in the country, reflected in the provincial elections and the August primary elections, contrasted with the few sessions of the congressmen. So far this year, the deputies have only met 8 times, that is, one session every 33 days. While senators have met 9 times, which translates into a session every 30 days. Argentina has a tendency that indicates that, during election time, the activities of the Congress decrease significantly. The years 2015 and 2019 are a clear example of that situation.
