Two workers in Lattakia Electricity Company suffered burns between light and medium during their work with the company's workshops on the maintenance and reconstruction of the arrival cell of transformer 1-66-20k. It was completely destroyed at the port terminal 66-20k following the collapse of its isolation and its complete burning this morning.
Eng. Fadi Saud told SANA that Eng. Abdullah Mazloum, head of the high tension department, suffered light burns and Basil Qasrini with moderate burns in the face during the maintenance work of the cell within the station.
He also pointed out that the collapse of the cell in the station resulted in power outages in several neighborhoods in the city of Lattakia, including “Ghassan Harfoush Street, Halloum Square, Al Farous, 8 March Street, Qalaa Quarter, 7th of April Association, Al Quwatli Street, National Hospital, Maghreb Street“ Court ”and the expansion of the harbor.
He pointed out that the company in parallel with the maintenance work secured the electrical supply of the mentioned neighborhoods of the two lines to the completion of repairing the damaged cell, which lasted 14 hours continuously.
