BISHKEK-SANA - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that many Western leaders follow a dictating policy

Bishkek-Sana

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that many Western leaders are following a policy of outdated dictates and exacerbating relations between the West and Russia.

"The best way to end this anomaly is to give up imperialist ambitions," Lavrov was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.

Lavrov noted that some parties ask Moscow to implement the Minsk agreements on Ukraine, stressing that this is not possible because Russia is not mentioned in these agreements because they are not a party to the conflict.

Lavrov said that some of the statements of the current Ukrainian authorities can be interpreted as a rejection of the Minsk agreements.

The parties to the conflict in eastern Ukraine signed a ceasefire agreement in September 2014 in the Belarusian capital Minsk, but Kiev forces continue to violate this agreement and the bombing of residential areas in the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk unilaterally declared.
