For the fourth day, the mini-committee of the expanded committee to discuss the constitution did not hold any session as it was scheduled to start last Monday for five days due to the intransigence of the Turkish regime group delegation and its refusal to discuss the agenda.

SANA's delegation to Geneva said that the three mini-committee delegations arrived this morning at the United Nations building in Geneva without any meetings and were limited to separate meetings between the UN Secretary General's envoy to Syria, Ger Pederson, the head of the national delegation and the head of the delegation of the Turkish regime.

In a statement to SANA, Samar Diop, a member of the civil society, said that the disruption of the sessions for the fourth day was caused by the intransigence of the Turkish regime delegation and its refusal to agree on national constants that form the basis for building any dialogue related to the constitution.

In turn, member of the civil delegation Issam al-Zebaq said that the delegation came to Geneva without any conditions, but it was necessary to proceed from the national constants as a basis for dialogue. There are issues that are a priority that can not be overcome such as the sovereignty of the state and condemn the occupation and theft of its goods, stressing that any constitution can not be drafted without these constants.

A source from the Syrian national delegation confirmed yesterday that the one who refused to join the sessions two days ago is the delegation of the Turkish regime because of its inability to discuss national issues such as the rejection of the Turkish and American occupation and the fight against terrorist organizations and the fight against terrorism.
