The Ministry of Culture honored the Syrian General Book Organization in the activities of the Ministry of Culture on the winners of the first three prizes of the Hanna Minh Prize for the novel, Sami Droubi for translation, Omar Abu Risha for poetry, short story for the child, and excellence of the sea for the art of painting directed to the child.
The jury also noted Adnan Halawa's “Festival” poems, “dedication to the soul of the poet Omar Abu Risha” by Bilal Ahmed, “Thinking Aloud… very High” by Areej Saud and “Questions” by Areej Al Thiab.
In the Sami Al-Droubi Award for Translation, he won first place the work translated “Tales of the Greek Night” by Mohammed Al-Dunia and second place the work translated “Literary Criticism in France” by Dr. Ghassan El-Sayed and the third place translated work “Wonders of the World .. 366 Marvel and more” for Hammam Zina.
The short story for the child went to the first prize for the story "magic glasses" for Duha Jawad and won the second story "the first place" by Malik Ajeeb The third prize was awarded the story of "the story of a tree" by Adrian Ibrahim.
The Director of the Book Authority, Dr. Thaer Zainuddin said in his speech that these awards and other offers by the Ministry of Culture and at the most difficult time is an indication of mobility contributes to the creation of a creative cultural environment is healthy because literary awards help to provide new voices to the arena, explaining that the arbitration committees have worked to align Biblical art and literary and artistic beauty without underestimating the intellectual and moral dimension present in the work.
Salah Al-Saleh, member of the Hanna Minneh Award, Tawfiq Al-Asadi, Sami Al-Droubi Award for Translation, Dr. Rateb Sukkar, Omar Abu Risha Award, Lujain Al-Aseel, Mumtaz Al-Bahra Committee for Painting, and Qahtan Bayrakdar, Member of the Short Story Committee, presented an explanation of the criteria used in evaluating texts and materials. Participate in competitions and choose the most appropriate ones in a way that takes into account the objectives of the competitions.
