They also called for supplying electricity departments in Aleppo countryside with mechanisms and cadres, pointing to the need to prevent illegal electricity generation, promoting the use of alternative and solar energy, involving the private sector in generating wind electricity, raising the reward value for all workers in the ministry, and providing special supplies and equipment for the maintenance of electricity networks.

A number of members also called for exempting farmers from delay fines, rehabilitating the Swedish station in Qamishli, providing technical supplies for the return of electricity to Hasakeh province, expanding generating stations, finding a solution to the problem of long power transmission lines and electricity losses, repairing the thermal station in Aleppo or establishing new ones and increasing the quantities of electricity for industrial clusters and regions. Minister of Electricity Mohammad Zuhair Kharboutli gave a brief presentation on the ministry's strategy and action plans, noting that in the field of generation, the expansion project of Deir Ali 750 MW plant was completed, the project of expansion of Tishreen 400 MW power plant in Damascus countryside and the Lattakia power station project 540 MW and the rehabilitation of the gas group were completed. Minister Kharboutli pointed out that the strategy of renewable energy projects until 2030, which was approved and approved by the Council of Ministers last month, includes 1500 megawatts of solar collectors, 900 megawatts of wind turbines, two million and two hundred thousand solar heaters. If implemented, two million tonnes of oil equivalent will be saved annually with a value of 750 million euros.

The Minister of Electricity pointed out that the rehabilitation of transport networks in the liberated areas and the connection of water dams with the public electrical network and the implementation of projects of conversion stations and new tension lines to transfer the generated power and raise the reliability of electrical nutrition and complete the rehabilitation of all high-tension lines linking the southern region to the central region and complete the rehabilitation of damaged stations With its feeder lines and work on the recharge of electricity to the liberated areas and the implementation of new projects to increase the reliability and improve the indicators of electrical energy in the provinces.

The Minister of Electricity pointed out that for the province of Aleppo, the third phase of the rehabilitation of the 400 KV / 30 km line has been completed in contact with the areas where there are terrorist groups, and coordination is currently with the competent authorities to enter the workshops to this area and complete the repair of this line. Putting it into service, the governorate will be supplied with a capacity of 300 megawatts, pointing out that in Deir Ezzor, the electrical recharge has been restored to the Albukamal area through the completion of the evacuation station and the high tension line and the completion of the electrical recharge of Deir Ezzor countryside.

Minister Kharboutli explained that the electricity was restored to Ma'dan, Sabkha and Debsaflan town in Raqqa countryside to feed the government headquarters and residential neighborhoods to which citizens returned and to secure the electrical supply of water pumps after Buhamad station was put into service and work in the liberated countryside in order to restore full electricity supply. In Al-Hasakeh governorate, Al-Mabrouka station was rehabilitated and connected with Tishreen Dam and Al-Hasakeh main station was rehabilitated.

On the new stations and lines, the Minister spoke about a new line in Sheikh Miskeen 230 KV implemented for the province of Daraa and the implementation of the Lattakia station with a capacity of 540 MW and securing a red line for the Suwayda governorate line 230 KV from Sheikh Miskeen station. .

Kharboutli stressed that the illegal renting of electricity is one of the biggest challenges facing the ministry because it increases the electrical loads, which will lead to increased hours of rationing, pointing out that there are factories running their factories after midnight, which prompted the ministry to control these practices and behaviors, especially in factories Which consumes great potential.

Regarding the meter reading, the Minister of Electricity pointed out that there are errors in it, calling for providing the Ministry with any subject related to this matter to address it. He pointed out that the frequency protection is defense lines that are installed to protect the electrical network and to avoid the occurrence of electricity cuts throughout Syria, therefore the Ministry had to install protection equipment that repels these loads. Minister Kharboutli stressed that the government and the ministry encourage and provide facilities for alternative energy projects and the localization of these energies, pointing out that there is a trend to form a special fund to support the use of solar heater aimed at providing interest-free loans for five years, which reduces the loads and consumption of the electrical grid.

The Minister of Electricity pointed out that the Ministry has restored electricity to Buhamad station in Raqqa countryside and work is underway to restore electricity in succession to all the liberated areas in Raqqa, in addition to the ministry's plan to provide electricity to all the districts of Deir Ezzor. Sheikon, Murk and Sinjar, praising the great efforts of the electric workers, stressing that the value of work compensation will be increased and the emergency offices will be supported with the necessary mechanisms and materials.

Minister Kharboutli pointed out that the main equipment for the generating sets at the Aleppo thermal power plant is from turbines and generators, all of which are of Japanese or American origin. Minister Kharboutli revealed that the ministry is working to exempt citizens living in the liberated areas from fees, fines and benefits.

As for the electrical link with neighboring countries Iraq and Iran, the Minister of Electricity said that it is expected to complete the existing part of the Syrian territory in mid-2020, in order to exchange electricity power when needed.
