The Government of Mexico is in communication with the United States, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard wrote on his Twitter account. The message is known after the Donald Trump government handles the possibility of qualifying drug cartels as terrorist organizations. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador declined to enter the controversy, but reiterated that the position of his administration is to seek cooperation, not interventionism.
