At 12:01 on midnight on September 1, the trainee ambulance officer further reported that a total of nine injured persons were found on the scene, including a head injury, shortness of breath and a sprained foot. After 14 minutes, the trainee ambulance officer reported that the number of wounded in the station had increased to 10, and rated the injuries for the first time, including:

6 seriously injured (red)
2 ordinary wounded (yellow)
2 minor wounded (green)

At the press conference of the Fire Services Department on September 19, the records of the 10 injured persons were disclosed:

2 women with dyspnea (severe)
1 left ankle injured man (general)
1 man with sprained left foot (general)
1 man with minor left shoulder injury (minor injury)
1 dizzy man (minor injury)

Although the FSD launched the Multiple Casualties Incident mechanism at 11:05 that evening, a large number of ambulances and ambulances were on standby outside the station. However, the ambulance officers have been used by MTR station police officers. There was no reason for the wounded to prevent entering the station. At 12:23, with the assistance of MTR staff and firefighters, multiple teams of ambulancemen successfully entered the Prince Edward Station from Exit E, but only 7 wounded were handled after entering the station.

According to the fire department's case record, the trainee ambulance officer reported at 1.02am that 7 wounded persons were identified, including:

Head Injury Man (Serious)
Chest pain (severe)
Dyspnea (Severe)
Man with head injury (general)
Dyspnea woman (general)
Man with left shoulder injury (minor injury)

The case record also stated that a senior police sergeant stated at 1.07am that the above 3 serious, 2 normal and 2 minor injuries were transported to Lai Chi Kok Station by train and instructed an ambulance to Lai Chi Kok Station Exit A is on standby. Five wounded interviewees recalled that each of them was attended by two to three ambulancemen. An injured man said that a man in a white uniform and unknown to be a police officer or ambulance had shouted "7, 7 wounded" after going to the stretcher bed, and asked the ambulances who cared for the injured "is there a total of 7?" The ambulanceman said privately, "It's funny, what you are responsible for counting is that you told us how many people and cars will be out, and asked us backwards." Seven wounded people then accompanied by the ambulanceman took the elevator to the upper level, and The other arrested persons boarded a special train to Lai Chi Kok together.

In addition to the multiple changes in the number of injured persons counted by the ambulanceman, the number of different injured persons was also calculated by the firemen on duty at the station. Shortly after the trainee ambulance officer confirmed that there were 10 wounded, an assistant fire chief reported to the control center that there were 9 wounded on the platform, 2 of whom were injured in the head and 1 short of breath, and the others were slightly injured. The trainee ambulance officer reported 10 injured persons at 12:15, but at the same minute an ambulance brigade reported to the center that a police officer of some rank at Prince Edward Station reported that there were no injured persons at the station, preventing other ambulancemen from entering.

A total of 52 people were arrested at the Prince's Station that night. The fax service contacted 47 of them to learn about the situation at the station, including 5 of them who were sent to hospital for injuries. A number of people recalled that after the scene was controlled by the police, people arrested inside the station several times and asked them to face the wall. Before the trainee ambulance officer entered the station at 11:36, and at most the rescue team arrived at 12:23, only one person had directly contacted the trainee ambulance officer.

An interviewee stated that an ambulanceman wearing an orange fluorescent coat had asked him if he was injured and recorded his injuries before leaving. However, he did not reappear in the next period and he did not receive first aid. Another arrested person also whispered, "Last chance to say that I am going to the hospital," when he heard a paramedic passing by his position before announcing his arrest. The remaining arrested persons said they had never seen any ambulancemen appear inside the station. The five interviewed wounded also said that they had only received first aid from firefighters wearing gold suits and had not contacted a trainee ambulance officer.

According to the information of the Fire Services Department, firefighters did not find a fire after receiving the report of a second-level fire. However, they saw a lot of wounded on the platform and instead assisted the injured in first aid. According to all the arrested persons, a fat man with a blue shirt and a fat body fainted. He was awakened by emergency pressure from the police, and then about 4 to 5 firefighters arrived. In addition to assisting the obese man to detect vital signs, firefighters also called a panic attack man to breathe slowly, bandage a head for a man in a green shirt, ask the arrestee if he is unwell, and take care of two women with asthma Wait.

The investigation also revealed that the number of people who had expressed physical injury or discomfort far exceeded the number of 7 who were immediately sent to hospital after leaving Lai Chi Kok Station. Together with the above arrested persons who had met the orange fluorescent clothing ambulancemen, at least 10 persons stated that they had shown injuries or discomfort to police officers, firefighters or ambulancemen at the station, including a woman who had dizziness and sprained her feet 3 times To see a doctor, a man with a sprained foot, and then to the firefighters and police officers for help (see the table below), but all have not been checked or first aid.

Injury ratings vary

The Facsimile reporter further compared the injuries of the injured in the two periods of "10 people to 7 people". The injuries recorded when the 7 wounded were sent to hospital were different from the initial report of the trainee ambulance officer when reporting the 10 wounded. At the beginning, two of the six severely injured people sustained head injuries, but one of the two head injuries was serious and one was normal when they were sent to the hospital. At the time of the "10 injured", 3 severely injured persons reported difficulty breathing, but there were only two people with "dyspnea" when they were sent to hospital. One was severe and the other was normal. Another severely injured was "chest pain". An injured person previously rated as having difficulty breathing.

Comparing injury records, the three "disappeared wounded" were a man with rib pain, a man with a left ankle injury, and a man with a sprained left foot. At least 5 of the arrested persons interviewed by the FAX reported foot injuries, and it is unknown whether they will be counted as "disappeared injured persons". None of the 47 people who had successfully contacted and interviewed said Rib pain. In response to the inquiry, the Fire Services Department stated that from 11:30 pm to September 2 on August 31, the fire department's ambulance transported 26 injured patients from the Kwai Chung Police Station to various hospitals, including one who reported rib pain. , But no confirmation has been made as to whether the person was arrested at Prince Edward Station.

Afterwards, the Fire Services Department explained at a press conference on September 12 that only trainee ambulance director was in the station that night, and he did not bring a classification card with him to identify the injured, making it difficult to count the number of injured. The fax service asked the Fire Services Department whether the trainee ambulance officer had personally counted the number of injured people, graded the wounded, and treated the wounded after entering the station. The Fire Services Department responded that after the trainee rescue officer entered the Prince Station that night, he went straight to the L3 floor along the escalator. No one stayed on the L2 floor. Upon arriving at the L3 floor, he personally questioned the arrested people on the platform and made a quick preliminary inspection, and then made a paper and pen record. The reply also stated that, as firefighters had been treating some of the wounded on the platform, the trainee ambulance officer at that time only concentrated on the number of wounded and assigned a shunt rating. The Fire Services Department did not mention whether the trainee ambulance officer had personally treated the wounded.

As for the St. John ’s Ambulance Team ’s reply to the fax agency, as of 12.26 that night, a total of 4 St. John ’s ambulances were on standby at Prince Edward Station. After receiving public assistance at 1:03, one of them was dispatched St. John's station, St. John's staff had contacted six reported frightened patients, and all of them did not need to be sent to hospital. The St. John's Rescue Team has not contacted any injured at Prince Edward Station.
