Nicaragua celebrates the Purísima in the midst of crisis

In Nicaragua, the celebration of the Purísima is the most deeply rooted popular religious expression in Catholic parishioners. According to its leaders, this year it suffers injuries caused by the socio-political crisis that the country has been experiencing since April 2018, and that according to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights left 328 dead, hundreds of detainees and thousands of exiles.
