Beirut-Sana
Protests continued in some areas of Lebanon to demand the return of smuggled funds, improve living conditions and fight corruption.
Protesters staged a sit-in in front of the central bank in Beirut and the Lebanese bank in Sidon to protest monetary policy, accusing the bank of deepening the country's economic crisis.
The National News Agency reported that sit-ins and other demonstrations took place in some districts of Beirut to reach Riad El Solh and Martyrs Square in the center of the capital.
Petrol stations in and around Sidon are still crowded with cars lined up for petrol, and some have closed after they run out of stock.
There have been protests and sit-ins in many areas of Lebanon since October 17 to protest the deteriorating economic situation and demand that the corrupt be held accountable.
