Argentina's Lionel Messi is the god of Olympus in football: he won his sixth Golden Ball, beat Cristiano Ronaldo and continues to dominate men's world soccer. In the women's category, the American Megan Rapinoe is the winner of the Golden Ball. Both won the FIFA Best The prize in September, which for some years was joined to this France Football award.
Messi won his first Golden Ball in 2009, and then in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
In 2018, Croatian Luka Modrić won the prize. In 2017 and 2016 it was in the hands of Cristiano Ronaldo, and the previous year, 2015, was Messi.
