The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, celebrated his first year in the country's presidency this Sunday. The celebration had a massive event in the Zocalo, known as the historic heart of the Mexican capital. Around 140,000 people gathered to see the president's speech. Even so, this was an event overshadowed by the serious clashes between security forces and a criminal gang in Coahuila that left 19 people dead over the weekend.
