The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Damascus held a reception to mark the 48th anniversary of its National Day.
Al-Nuaimi expressed his thanks to the Syrian government and people for their warm welcome and to the Foreign Ministry and expatriate staff for their support in overcoming the difficulties in front of the UAE embassy to carry out its duties in order to deepen relations between the two brotherly countries.
In turn, Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Dr. Faisal Miqdad reviewed the history of bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that Syria and the UAE share many elements, including Arabism and the depth of the blood and belonging and joy for the achievements and victories achieved in the two countries.
Mekdad stressed that Syria is winning big victories against terrorism and that the rest of the areas controlled by terrorist organizations will return to the state, calling for Arab cooperation in facing the dangers facing the region.
The event featured a documentary film about the UAE Expo 2020, in which more than 200 countries, organizations and educational institutions participated.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism Mohammad Rami Radwan Martini, President of the Supreme Constitutional Court Mohammed Jihad Al-Lahham, Assistant Foreign Minister and Emigrants Dr. Ayman Sousan, a number of ministers' aides, members of the People's Assembly, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Syria and technical, economic and media events.
