The policeman from Unit 747, a detective unit whose primary purpose is to seize drugs, decided that he wanted revenge on the security guard, and called two of his unit members. The three put him in a room in the Ben Gurion Unit, where they were handcuffed and beaten vigorously.

Police spokespeople said in response that "this is an unfortunate incident that should have ended otherwise. The matter will be investigated and, as required, conveyed by the Israel Police to the Police Investigation Department."
