A viral video that has been circulating on social networks in recent days shows a polar bear walking in the Russian snow with its fur sprayed with the caption "T-34" • Authorities are investigating
Animal and environmental activists have been outraged in recent days since video footage from Russia showed a white polar bear seen documenting roaming the area in a 40-degree cold with the white T-34 inscribed on its white fur.
Russia: Anonymous sprayed with polar bear spray
The video and photos were posted on Facebook by a local resident and soon became viral and sparked a storm. The photo shows the bear walking in the snow, presumably in the Chukotka district in the Russian Far East, with the inscription protruding on the right side of his back.
The caption on the bear apparently refers to the famous Russian tank T-34, and a recently released Russian war film of the same name. The polar bears are considered to be large predators that are not scared of most humans, so it is unclear how those who sprayed the bear came so close to him.
The bears are, of course, considered a protected wild animal with only thirty thousand details, as their future is bleak due to global warming affecting the ice area.
