Li Huiqiong said that this district election had a very high turnout rate, but the entire election process was conducted in a violent environment, which affected the election of DAB candidates. Regarding the damage to the work offices of several candidates within the party and the nuisances caused by the publicity in the streets, Li Huiqiong said she had lodged a complaint with the Registration and Electoral Office.
Li Huiqiong also criticized the improper arrangements on the day of the district election. Even when the crowds appeared in the early morning in the multi-zone ticket stations, the director or staff of the ticket stations did not assist the elders or people with reduced mobility and forced them to give up their voting rights. She also complained that many polling stations were surrounded by many people in black. As a result, some DAB candidates and scrutineers did not show up because of concerns about security issues. "Under no circumstances, the Returning Officer opened the box. Counting the votes did not make clear how many questionable votes were in the end. These are absolutely unfair. It directly refers to the government's default.
