It is known that the arrested persons were students in the district, and they were initially suspected of involving police assaults and criminal damage. Superintendent Zhong Yalun, Commander of Hung Hom Division, will brief the case at 1:30 pm.

At 7 am this morning, a number of students were arrested by masked plainclothes officers and uniformed police officers off Ma Tau Wai Road and Farm Road outside To Kwa Wan. According to online clips, a number of masked plainclothes policemen with telescopic batons stood by the roadside, one masked female plainclothes policeman sat on the back of a female student, and several male policemen subdued two male students. At least two men and one woman were taken into police cars. Some netizens estimate that the students may have intentionally blocked the road. It is understood that some of the arrested students attended Deng Jingbo School, and the school responded that there were teachers in the process. The parents learned that their children had been arrested and made enquiries at the Kowloon City Police Station, but they were still unable to reach the students.
