Elite has launched coffee capsules that Chef Yossi Sheetrit has tasted: marzipan cookie, melbi, cardamom and cinnamon • We have a recipe for this
The capsules became cake
As winter comes, Elite launches flavored coffee capsules created by esteemed chef Yossi Sheetrit. The flavors are intertwined with the Levantine sweet world: marzipan cookie, hearty, cardamom and cinnamon.
This is not the first time a collection of flavored coffee capsules has been launched in Israel, it was Nespresso who made it first. And their capsules also received lukewarm criticism.
Not being a lover of the genre, I tasted the most balanced taste in my opinion, the marzipan. Strengthening Coffee with Amaretto Liquor This is a serious treat that focuses on the same spectrum of flavors - coffee and almonds.
But unfortunately, the capsule is full of flavor and aroma, with no real mention of it. The taste and aroma are completely synthetic. It is likely that these capsules are more suitable for hot winter drinks of different flavors but are not at all suitable for drinking coffee.
Another use is baking and making desserts, so chef Yossi Sheetrit thinks so, and along with the capsule package is also included a recipe booklet. I'm not sure the price of the capsules justifies their purchase just to make them coffee-based sweets, but if such a capsule has rolled out to develop your kitchen, that's my unequivocal recommendation.
