Nochi Dankner, a former controlling shareholder of IDB, has recently been transferred from his actions to Nitzan Prison. The transfer decision was made by the Prison Service. According to the News 12 report, the President's House received a request to pause the hearings on Dankner's pardon request, which is currently under discussion.
The Prison Service said: "We confirm that the prisoner has been transferred to Nitzan Prison. Beyond that we do not relate." Dankner was convicted of securities law and money laundering offenses and sentenced to three years in prison. Last October, he went to Ma'asiyahu Prison and now, after his pardon request, the police are asking the president to stop the discussions on the matter.
On October 2, 2018, he began serving his sentence in Division 10 of Ma'aseyahu Prison, which was set up specifically for the inmates of the Holyland affair, including former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. In February 2018, Dankner filed a pardon request for the state president and justice minister and that was due to be discussed soon.
However, following the prisoner's complaint, the police made a request to the President's House to postpone the decision until the complaint was clarified. Please claim, among other things, that his medical condition was deteriorating and that his world was destroyed after his conviction.
