An unusual event tonight (Wednesday) at the castle. A 40-year-old man was shot dead by a police officer. The man opened fire at a business owner in the city, killing him and fleeing. Police officers nearby heard the sound of gunfire coming to the scene.
One of the police officers spotted a suspect in the shooting escaped and opened a chase. During the chase, he opened fire at the suspect and seriously wounded him. The suspect was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, where he died of his wounds.
According to the MIP procedures, the police will investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
