The court allowed the name of former Knesset Member Einat Wilf this morning (Wednesday) to report that she was interrogated by police on suspicion of assaulting a minor about six years old during a school activity.
Last Thursday, a father of a student in class A filed a complaint against the former Knesset member, who he allegedly attacked his son. According to the father's complaint, Wilf served as an accompanying parent during the school's activities and at one point, when she tried to separate the children who started raving and splashing water on each other, she pushed one of the children, who hit the fence.
The former Knesset member was questioned last Monday by police, denied this and even claimed it was an extortion attempt by the family and was in fact the one who was attacked and not assaulted. In the name of Dr. Einat Wilf said: "Unfortunately, Einat cannot respond to the unfounded charges against her as long as the matter is in a police investigation. However, the true story is completely different, and Einat was responsible for avoiding the aggravation of the difficult situation forced upon her."
Wilf previously served as a Knesset member of the Labor Party as part of the 18th Knesset. She is also a member of Ehud Barak at the time and was part of the Independence Party.
