Turkish authorities today arrested 12 people under the pretext of links to the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime accuses of being behind the July 2016 coup attempt.
"The prosecution issued arrest warrants for 25 people on charges of using the Gulen messaging application of Gülen and arrested 12 of them," the Anatolia news agency said, quoting the state prosecutor's office in Izmir province.
He pointed out that raids and arrests have been carried out at the same time in the provinces of Izmir, Bursa, Kutahya, Kokkai, Moss and Korum while searches are still going on for the remaining wanted.
On Thursday, Turkish authorities arrested 25 people under the pretext of links to Gulen.
