Lu Weiguo, Lin Jianfeng, Zhang Huafeng, Wu Yongjia and Liang Meifen met with Chen Maobo today. In terms of tax concessions, the People's Democratic Alliance stated that in the face of further economic downturns, in order to reduce the pressure on the middle class, the basic tax allowance was increased from 132,000 to 150,000 yuan, and the broadened tax band was widened from 50,000 yuan to 55,000 yuan. Child allowances and additional allowances for the year of birth of the children increased from 120,000 to 150,000 yuan, and a progressive arrangement was implemented for the grading of allowances for multiple children. The Pakatan Harapan also requested that the concession of 100% profits tax, salaries tax and personal income tax be maintained at a maximum of 40,000 yuan.

Lin Jianfeng, who is also a member of the Bank, mentioned the proposal of paying tax by installments. He hoped that Chen Maobo could decide and announce which companies can pay tax by installments before the tax bills were received. Lin Jianfeng also proposed to launch a shop maintenance and wage subsidy program to help businesses affected by recent riots to weather the crisis.
